Van Hollen: President Trump is Increasing Health Care Costs for Hardworking Americans

Today U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen issued the following statement on the Trump Administration's request for another delay in the cost-sharing reduction payments lawsuit:

"Families in Maryland and across the country deserve certainty about the stability and cost of their health insurance. Unfortunately, the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans refuse to provide it. Cost-sharing subsidies lower the deductibles, co-pays, and other out-of-pocket costs for those who purchase plans on the exchange. By continuing this uncertainly in the market, President Trump is increasing costs for hardworking Americans. We know our current health care system isn't perfect, but Republicans would rather blow it up than fix it. It's time for Republicans to end this effort at sabotage and put access to affordable health care before politics."
