"Federalsburg's first responders deserve every resource they need to safely go about the difficult and dangerous business of saving lives," said Senator Cardin, a member of the Senate Finance Committee. "This federal investment assists them doing exactly that, helping to both protect the community and ensure that more of our firefighters return home safely."

"Our first responders put their lives on the line every day, and we must ensure they have the training and equipment necessary to respond to emergencies. This funding will help to improve Federalsburg's communications and fire-fighting capabilities, and in turn, help keep the entire community safe," said Senator Van Hollen, a member of the Senate Appropriations and Budget Committees.
